general help: modules

Introduction:

Modules are items that can be crafted from blueprints and provide additional functionality or enhancements for your vehicle, starship, factory, and more. They are typically sold by players in private shops, as government shops only offer standard upgrades.
Modules are easy to install using the "install" command and are straightforward to obtain.

Where do I obtain a module?

There are several ways to get one, including but not limited to:
Buy it from a privately owned shop by typing "shop" and selecting the third option to search for what you need.
Craft it in the production rooms of industrial plants.
Build it in factory labs.
Or simply place an order.
These options should help you find what you're looking for.

How do I construct a module on my factory?

First, acquire blueprints through various means, such as opening cargo barrels, salvaging starship wrecks, or negotiating with other players. Next, go to the building labs in your factory and type construct. Choose one of the available modules,, like starship defensive plates, and craft as many as you need.

How do I craft a module in my industrial plant?

Build a production room in your industrial plant - see help industrial plants for more details.
Head to your production room and type construct.
Choose one of the available modules, such as a weapon charge booster, and wait for the drones to complete the construction.
Once finished, pick it up from the ground, and youre good to go!

How do I install a module?

Go to the location where you want the module installed, usually the control room of your factory, starship, or the cockpit of your vehicle. Power down your starship or vehicle (factories do not need to be powered down). Place the module on the ground and type install . For example, typing install booster will begin the installation process for any module with "booster" in its name.
Please note that most modules have rank requirements. Installing them on a starship will increase the rank requirement of that starship, so use with caution.
