As part of our continuing commitment to you guys in terms of listening and also showing you how we react, we've opened up a new OOC board, which is writeable only by us, but which will contain a summary of the topics that come up at HTPC's as well as what actions will be taken because of them. the first post is up, we'd love your feedback if you think this is a good or bad idea and any tips on your wanted format! enjoy!

The Staff: Hello everyone. starship wrecking should be fixed up, the creatures now care about ratika cages in the room with them once again. As a guide though, once you drop the ratika cage, make sure you type stopfight If you do damage to the Dulfarite while the cage is in the room, the cage will have no effect for a minute. The Staff: Hello folks! I've made some tweaks to the transfer command on industrial plants. First of all, you can now choose what to transfer, it won't transfer the hole bay now, instead you can choose what materials to transfer and in what amounts. It will no longer punish points for distance, so you are always guaranteed to get points, providing you transfer dark matter. I have also now made available 3 new transfer modules which, once installed, will boost the speed of your transfer times and by extension shorten the distance and therefore boost the reward paid. The Staff: Hi, players! Next July marks Cosmic Rage's tenth birthday, and we want to make it a celebration to remember. But to kick things off, we need your help. For the first of many anniversary events, we've cooked up a short survey and we need your input! Be honest, be kind, and most importantly, have fun with it. Share it with your friends, rivals, and yes, even former Cosmic Rage players. The more responses we get, the better. To take part, visit cosmicrage.earth and look for the heading "We need your input for our tenth birthday!" Click the link to fill out the Google Form and tell us what you think about our wild little universe. We can't wait to see what you come up with. The Staff: Hello everyone! Hunting areas have had a major overhaul in the way they spawn and the way they appear. First of all, there were some bugs around exits where a clear path to the east, on the way back, would have a tree blocking the path. that has been fixed. additionally hunting grounds were 20 by 20, but you could only walk 10 by 10! In terms of new features, forests have been redesigned to have clearings in them, which are all connected by paths. A path connects one of the clearings to the entrance, so you can always find your way from the entrance to at least one clearing with little difficulty. To liven things up a bit there are also animal trails which are 4 to 6 room trails that are just dead ends. In the title of the room, you are now given a rough idea of location, for example, center of a clearing, southwestern edge of a clearing, on a trail between trees. There are also now more animals in forests. I hope these changes make hunting more accessible and enjoyable, as ever, feedback is welcome!

The Staff: Hello Everyone! I am very excited to be able to bring you a change to how bolting items works. Previously, if you typed for example: %n is bolted near $sofa, it would show that your item was bolted by your sofa, but then it would also show your sofa's bolt string, too! Now, however, it works differently. If you do %n is bolted by $sofa, it will now show a chair is bolted by a sofa, and not show the sofa's ground string at all. This allows you to build dynamic, flowing descriptions that are no longer restricted by awkward flowing syntax strangeness. Note that, the item who has the $ in their name must be bolted before the item it is referring to, so if you bolt a table: %n is has $chair and $2.chair around it, you must drop the table first and bolt it, then drop the other 2 chairs and bolt them after. The Staff: Hi Everyone! I really hope you enjoyed today's event, destination droid! There will be some follow up facts revealed over the next day or two, as things are revealed from what people found or experienced, so keep your eyes peeled! This event was in part inspired by a throw away comment made by a player about a cool idea and the hosts just kind of ran with it. This was also an awesome test of the new combat system, really stretching it to its limits to see what it can do and what works and what does not. Combat isn't for everyone, so we appreciate this one leant more toward that and hope to balance out with a different event in the new year! As always, please do submit your feedback through the feedback command, tell us what you enjoyed, what you'd like to see, or even what your throw away thoughts are. After all, next it could be you getting stuffed into a droidic sack and kidnapped. erm. I mean, it could be you inspiring a story! Stay cosmic!

The Staff: Hello everyone! This year, starting on new years eve, Cosmic Rage will be doing a celebration for everyone! We know that our players are from all over the place and many different regions and this year we want to celebrate that! If you type musicfm newyear you can type in your region or country and choose a timezone. At midnight on New Years Eve Cosmic Rage will play a small sequence to you to count you down and celebrate the dawn of 2026! to kick the year off the right way, we will be celebrating with you and that may include something extra special for you too, so make sure to sign up! 2026 is going to be big and we can start that with this!
