A slightly dense atmosphere surrounds the planet that is now being displayed upon the view screen, the outer layers of which are a rather bright, almost luminous blue. As this colour gets closer to the crust of the world it shifts in gradient, becoming darker but not all together less unpleasant to behold. This peculiar light effect is only compounded further by the series of what appear to be white snow drifts that randomly flit across the image, as though storms of flakes were appearing, only to disappear before they reached the surface. In terms of makeup, the planet contains several large bodies of land that one could call continents, 4 out of 5 of which are in the northern hemisphere. The southern half of the planet, where the beacon shows a landing site is, contains only a single large landmass surrounded on all sides by water and boxed in with tiny islands in an almost protective pattern.
