The station on the view screen is not the largest one around though it is no less effective for it's size. A broad ring of gleaming transparisteel is quartered evenly by a set of four crossover bridges which meet in the center at a circular hub of reinforced tritanium and steel and extend out beyond it to one of the four heavily guarded civilian access tubes. Arching above the central hub is a dome of neutronium-laced tempered glass which provides a full 360 degree view of the surrounding sector and makes it easier to operate the massive point defense cannons mounted on rotating turrets at regular intervals along the outer ring. Four larger turrets are prominently installed on each of the four smaller domes on the end of each bridge moving independently of the others and guarding the place where one can presume missions get assigned. Below, the massive saucer-shaped hanger is perhaps the only part of the station that does not receive a view of the sector, and a fifth access tube extends vertically downward from beneath the hangar with an SDF logo blazing on it to show that only military members may dock there. As if all those defenses weren't enough, an SDL guard fleet clings to the station like a second skin moving constantly and randomly, so holes in their collective shield are short lived and deliberate in order for ships to be able to dock.
