Learning about the Ryuchi race.

Appearance

the Ryuchi range in height from between 6 to 9 feet. They are descended from a union between members of the human race, members of the dragon race and quite a lot of science.
As such, the Ryuchi take on some attributes from each of their ancestors, for instance, they are scaled like the dragons, but have feet like the humans.
They have no wings, but do have foreclaws. The Ryuchi's skeletal structure is also different, featuring thicker bones and wider waists than their human counterparts, as well as flexible spines that make combat maneuvers much easier.

this race is uniquely very suited to combat as it forms both a part of their society but also their daily lives.
the race also possesses the ability to hear and produce much higher sounds than humans, allowing for an ability that has been named sonic scream.

Dietary Requirements

Ryuchi have much more flexible Dietary requirements compared to their ancestors and this shows in the way they eat.
Ryuchi eating habits are much closer to their human parents, most prefering prepared meals over live animals. That's not to say Ryuchi can't and don't eat raw food, simply that unlike dragons, they prefer it cooked most of the time

This race is part of the Galactic Senate and all alliances it has.
This race is listed as highly virulent, a status given to races who are not in danger of threat any time soon.

The birth involved the heavy use of Scientific equipment and it is both due to this, as well as the cross race union, that dragons settle upon disgust of the birth. The first Ryuchi remains on Navu, and the couple involved in the birth are both heralded by the humans on the planet however it does not take long for dragons to decide that such a union is shameful. Relationships between humans and dragons becomes taboo, although not dishonourable.
2272	2253	The Ryuchi race expands at a rapid pace	Ryuchi	event	nothing	nothing	In a boom unpredicted by both races, Ryuchi burths begin to crop up right across Navu, an article describing it from a dragon press release as "The human plague." Some younger dragons take the stance that perhaps Ryuchi are the next step in evolution for dragons, sparking a counter movement from older dragons. Towards the 2320's, as the Ryuchi population swells further and villages set up specific areas and facilities to care for parents and children, the arguments and infighting becomes bitter, it is only due to the wise and sometimes forceful intervention of Dragon Queen Xurana that it does not descend into violence. Despite this, and perhaps as an indication of her own beliefs, Xurana sets up a set of specific areas for the Ryuchi, noticeably forcing them out of dragon cities without explicitly saying as such.
2280	2284	Dragon opinion of the Ryuchi continues to sour	Ryuchi	event	nothing	nothing	The existance of more and more Ryuchi begins to sour the Dragon's opinions of the race. Dragons, who are not the fastest race to make decisions, can not keep pace with the rapidly changing and expanding Ryuchi births. Xurana, despite her attempts to remain mostly apart from the arguments, finds herself often agreeing with the older generations. Over the years, laws against Ryuchi, while not formally written, become normalised in society until the Ryuchi villages are all but cut off from the wider planet. Many Ryuchi parents become self-sustaining farmers and hunters, their children attending their own school and forming somewhat of a clan0like structure.
2290	2290	A bitter row between Ryuchi villages and the high counsel of the dragons	Ryuchi	event	nothing	nothing	A fearce and bitter row erupts between the Ryuchi clan villages and the Dragon High counsel. the Counsel was preparing to introduce a new tax against both Ryuchi and Dragons alike. The announcement referencing paying for the added load caused by the ryuchi villages, however they argue they are self-contained and cost the Dragons nothing. They refuse to pay and begin to protest the tax.
2292	2295	The Ryuchi Refugee Exodus	Ryuchi	event	nothing	nothing	Under increasingly uncomfortable conditions, many Ryuchi choose to pack up and leave Navu. Over the following three years, the Ryuchi population of Navu drops significantly as the still very young race makes their way to other homes, both on human planets and on new colonies. the sudden exodus puts additional strain on the Dragon econoemy until it suddenly crashes into recession.

2299	2299	The rise of the warborn	Ryuchi	event	nothing	nothing	As rumbles of anger continue to echo across navu due to the wrecked economy, the dragons turn their fiery temper to the Ryuchi who they see as being to blame. Those off world set up a unified, underground movement called the Warborn, declaring themselves against the slow moving, archaic systems of the dragons. Defiant marches on Navu lead to unrest across the cities.

November 22nd, 2350	December 8th, 2350	Battle of Coltsvahr	ryuchi dragon human navu war shalka	event	Navu	nothing	The Battle of Coltsvahr, in which draconic, Ryuchi, and human races banded together to repel the Shalka. the Shalka mounted a two week long campaign against Navu and her associated defensive outposts, aiming to cripple the planet's ability to defend itself or send economic ships to trade partners. while it ultimately failed in the long term, it did have severe reverbarations throughout both Dragon Society and that of the alliance as a whole.
