Appearance

The Mutariansi are shape shifters by nature and picking one out in a crowd can be harder than normal thanks to their ability to learn, adapt and morph.
Mutariansi formed creatures often have distinct features, taken on from the original form they studied, for instance, if a horse was in the habit of scratching with his right hoof, the Mutariansi who studied him would have a similar querk.
The Mutariansi base form is sphere shaped, a thick, resistant slime substance they refer to as bioplasma, Biological Plasma.
They are able to form primitive limbs out of the ball for short periods, such as suckers, tentacles and such.

Most that is known about the Mutariansi is documented as part of the history of their planet but the bare facts are as follows:
First encounter of humanity: Confirmed as early 12th to 13th century, earlier is suspected.
Enslavement: 2470 onwards.
Freed: 2491.
Galactic Senate recognition: 2495.

Dietary Requirements

Mutariansi diets are decidedly varied, usually based on their form. Mutariansi are omnivorous, though when in vegetarian forms they will show a preference for a similar diet.
A Mutariansi can exist on the same diet as their form for a significant period but will become weaker over time.

Status

Mutariansi are currently listed as an endangered, protected species.
They are a member of the Galactic senate and all alliances and pacts fall in line with that body.
