Learning about the Caitsa race.
Appearance
The Caitsa were short in stature, measuring only three feet but this small height was offset by incredibly thick limbs and sense of balance. We tell you this so that you understand that a charging human could not just bowl over several Caitsa, though in a one on one wrestling match the human would likely have the advantage.Caitsa have six legs, four lower and two upper with a strangely curved spine. It is best to think of them as centaur in shape, though this image is not entirely accurate either. The four rear legs are thick and stocky, supporting a rounded body which has a curved spine.
The upper body curves up at an angle until the head, which is vulpine in feature, tops it. The Caitsa have two fairly small ears and two very large eyes.
Planet of Origin
Koroku.Unique Abilities
The Caitsa were venomous and could spit poison rather like many snakes. Their breath also had a slight anesthetical quality which, while not affective against trained operatives, could put out your average civilian for an hour or so.Historical Information
the Caitsa were deeply territorial, nasty little beasts who decided to take on the human race in a one on one slug match until death do them part.they were the first race that humanity encountered and relations were never particularly friendly. A combination of piracy on the side of the humans and short tempered, territorial spite meant they were never fated to get along.
The war with humanity raged like a burning fire and many from both sides fled the conflict, setting up colonies far away from anything related to it. Eventually the Caitsa were beaten and their space travel technology utterly destroyed but not without great cost to the humans.
Up until the late 2480's there were those who still believed the Caitsa existed, especially as the race's listing refused to classify them as extinct, however, after the Kalt occupation the planet, the likelyhood of any surviving seems so small as to be impossible.
Dietary Requirements
Despite their appearance, Caitsa were strict vegetarians, dining mostly on a very thick tree that is native to Koroku called "Bunchaki" or roughly translated, "Chewy Bark."Status
This race is currently listed as declaration of war, status 0, meaning suspected to be beaten.the race is still not listed as extinct by The Galactic Senate instead they are listed as highly threatened.
