rp help: rules of roleplay

1. Cosmic Rage has six playable races at the time of this writing. These races offer a variety of playing styles. All characters should be roleplayed as the race that was chosen during character creation. It is not permitted to select a race, but then roleplay that your character is of a different or nonexistent race.
2. Half-breed races are acceptable under certain circumstances. In fact, the game already provides for human/dragons in the form of ryuchi, dragon/ryuchi to form ryuchi, human/mutariansi to make a half mutariansi and human/ryuchi to form either a human or ryuchi. Please see the help files for these Four races to understand how breeding between them is handled. It is also acceptable to play a human who is half mutariansi, but please review the mutariansi help file carefully to see the guidelines for such a character. No character should be part cy-larkan and part anything else, as cy-larkan do not breed in the way that other biological races do.
3. Characters should not roleplay special powers or abilities that would not fit their chosen, coded race. For example, it would be feasible for a dragon to emote breathing fire, but it would not make sense for a human or cy-larkan or even ryuchi to do so. Extreme roleplay such as mind controlling or being mind controlled is unacceptable. While mutariansi and half mutariansi have strong powers of influence, and that can be roleplayed, actually controlling someone or changing their entire personality is too extreme even for them. If there is a power you wish to roleplay having and you think it could be feasible with your chosen, coded race, please put in a support ticket and detail what you have in mind. Be sure you have host approval, through the support ticket system, before moving forward with the roleplay.
4. Remember that there are other people in the game world other than player characters or actual object NPCs. Be aware of where you are, who else would feasibly be in the area, and roleplay accordingly. Cape Dread would have many guards about, for instance. A medical complex or the medical rooms on factories and planets would have doctors and nurses about most likely. Space ports on planets would likely be busy with other pilots, spaceport personnel and the like. In fact, incorporating these pretend npcs in your roleplay can make things fun and interesting, but only do so as side characters. Do not roleplay that a nonexisting npc did something drastic or outside of what they would normally do.
Unless set out otherwise in the policies or in the above file, a person can not be banned for incorrectly roleplaying a race. Nine times out of ten, the hosts will attempt to coach you onto the correct path.
