rp help: making typos in character

We all make typing mistakes from time to time.
Whether it is because we're talking to someone as we type, because we're excited or because of another reason they are natural and don't have to be a social faux pas.
What makes them an issue is when a person capitalises them. For example, considering the following emote:
bob Bobland removes his jumper and, without a care in the wrld, tosses it over the back of the couch.
Now, it's very obvious here that the word "wrld" should in fact be "world."
the emote is still perfectly understandable though and the typo can be ignored.
Now consider the following emote:
bob Bobland removes his jum er and, with it a care in tji wrld, tosses it over the back of the couch.
This emote contains several typing mistakes and may not necessarily be understandable but like with the above, you don't necessarily have to correct it. If you feel the emote is unclear or you can do better, the smoothest way to do this is simply to retransmit the emote with typing corrections made. You should make sure that you get all the errors though, because doing this more than once can swiftly become annoying.
You can use similar logic when considering in character channels.
When we speak every day we stutter, we stumble over words, sometimes we even say one thing and mean another.
For example if someone is talking to you about trees, while you're also reading something about baboons, chances are you'll say something like: "If you remove leaves from the baboons too early you can damage their branches."
In real life you laugh such mistakes off, chances are you'll laugh, you'll say "baboons? what am I taking! I mean trees!" And that will be the end of it. Sometimes it turns into an inside joke.
That is exactly the way you treat in character typos.
Consider the following:
[Chat] Bob Bobland: "I was down at te pub the other night and knocked over my bear."
What should be done here is bear clearly means beer, and te can either be an accent or dialect or is a simple typo.
Best to gloss it over and see what happens next.
If you then see:
[Chat] Bob Bobland: "Once we'd cleared up te beer I ordered nother one."
Now you can see that the bear was the typo, but the te was a written accent or dialect. At this point you can rib Bob Bobland for his accent. It's only fair, as long as you ignore his bear/beer mock up.
Suspending reality just to point out a typo that people have already seen and ignored only further breaks the fun of the game for other people, so we strongly advise you not to do it.
If you can not be understood, people will ask you to repeat yourself.
Importantly though, we do expect you to put some effort into your writing. We're not looking for you to be able to write Oxford English dictionaries worth of chatter, but if you're constantly keyboard smashing, we're going to treat your character like the bumbling fool you are portraying him to be.
