What is the traceback shop?
Ever written a report? Chances are that if you have, you have also seen that report get resolved with a helpful little message about gaining some roleplay points along with a traceback that you can spend. But what does this mean for you, the player?
In comes the traceback shop. By typing TRACEBACK, you are able to select from a couple of different options. To view how many tracebacks you have, choose the corresponding option on the list, which is option 1. You can also type VIEW when in the prompt. To spend a traceback, select options 2 from the menu, or simply type SPEND at the prompt.
So what do I get for spending these tracebacks?
A number of random things can occur. You may lose a few rp points (no more than 10), but you could also gain up to 20. You can also gain in game credits, as well as nothing at all. On rare occasions, you may obtain a few cash donator points that count toward the real money donations on the game. In short, think of the traceback shop as a way to gain a little bit of extra bonus for the work you put in writing reports.
You can also get tracebacks by suggesting things, too!
Please note that the traceback shop will show you, when you spend the traceback, a reward in the form of a spoof traceback. A spoof is something made for comedy. to see what your reward is, look at where the traceback ID should be.
