general help: the military or sdf

SDF stands for Species Defense Force.
The SDF originates from the 22nd century when it was first called The Earth Alliance.
It was originally made up of the leaders of England, america, Russia, china and Africa.
In the mid 22nd century, the Dragons joined, changing the name from the Earth Alliance to the Galactic alliance, or the Galactic Union.
The Ryuchi later joined in the 23rd century, changing it to the Species Defense Force.
In the early 24th century, the Cy-larkans joined.
After much waiting and anticipation, the Mutariansi are now invited into the SDF.
There are several commands available to, and related to, the military.
First of all, the offices.
After reaching the rank of private in the SDF, an officer is given an office. This office can be custom described and is yours to do with as you see fit.
Officers are able to type describe in their office to redescribe them at any time.
Players are able to leave a message for an officer. This message could be a report, a request for a meeting, or anything else related to the officer.
To leave a message for an officer, go to the room Outside The Military Application Centers on Star Command and type message.
To view messages that someone has left for you, go to your office and type message view.
To delete a message someone has sent you, go to your office and type message delete.
When someone sends an officer a message, the officer in question receives a notice.
While you are in the room Outside The Military Application Centers on Star Command, you can type signed-in to see a list of all military members who are signed in.
If the command shows active now, it means the player is logged in. If it shows doing paperwork, it means that the person has logged out, but not signed out. From an in character point of view, this should be treated that they are signed in, but not reachable.
The following commands are military only:
signin: sign in to the military channel.
signout: Sign out of the military channel. Its recommended to do this if you expect to be absent for more than a week.
allclear: Declare a room as all clear. this will dispel the combat grid.

2. Take person to Star command jails.
3. Disarm the person.
4. Jail person for no more than 24 hours.

-----------

Disarmed items:
When an officer disarms a person of his/her items, the officer should go to the reception, or lobby, of the jail and type store put. They should do this for all of the persons items.
When the person is released, they should go to the lobby or reception and type store get.
A note on records. The military are only able to request records from the GMC only after JAG authorization. A member of the military, irrespective of the branch are thereby not permitted to ask the GMC to provide health records for anyone. The authorization will need to be filed with the JAG first. A member of the JAG, being magistrate or higher is able to either authorize the release of records or to deny the motion. If a release of record motion has been authorized by the JAG, the magistrate or higher will issue the release to the GMC directly. The health records will therefore be released only to the JAG which may be used as evidence for a trial.
