general help: renaming items pets, babies or characters

Sometimes, you find yourself wanting to rename an item, pet, baby or even yourself.
We allow this on cosmic Rage, and have even factored it into the roleplay environment.
To request a name change for a pet, baby, living entity or yourself you must follow the steps below:
Open a case with the JAG by going west of their application center on Star Command and typing case.
The case should cover the following details:
*what is being renamed
*its current name
*the reason for it being changed.
*The wanted name
Notes on reasoning:
1. Bare in mind the JAG is in character. There must be an in character reason for your name change.
2. Your reasoning can, and will, be turned away if it has no legal standing. For example, "I just don't like it." Is not acceptable.
3. Your request should be well-written.
Once your case is submitted, the JAG members will then review it and ask any questions required.
The JAG have the power to deny your request.
If the JAG approve it is then up to a JAG member to contact a host, who will perform the name change.
If you have any questions, please ask a host.
Note: approaching a host directly, or through support, for a name change is no longer a valid method unless it is for an item such as a radio that is nonliving.
