general help: ranking on cosmic rage

Introduction

Ranking in Cosmic Rage may seem daunting at first, but its actually a straightforward process. As you complete various activities in the game, you will earn credits and points. By accumulating enough points, you can increase your Rank. Higher Ranks unlock more skills, activities, and opportunities to earn additional rewards. Each activity has its own help file, which you can access by typing Ahelp. To see a list of all activities and the Ranks associated with each, type Ahelp list.
Once you've earned enough points to increase your Rank, the Galactic Senate will automatically award you the next Rank. In-character, this Rank represents your characters progress as a pilot and grants permission to fly certain ships, purchase specific upgrades, and use advanced equipment.
Its important to save your progress regularly after significant work and earning points. Dying without saving can result in lost progress. To save, simply type Save. To check your progress towards the next Rank, type Rank.
Important note: In-character, Ranks are referred to as rank, but they do not imply military authority. Having a higher Rank may make your character stronger, but it doesn't grant any authority over characters of lower Rank.

Rank Structure

There are 14 main Ranks that players will achieve throughout their journey in Cosmic Rage, spanning from Novice to Veteran. Graduate is a catch-all rank for those who havent yet started ranking or for items in stores that dont require any Rank. Legend serves as the rank for players who have surpassed Veteran, marking their accomplishments beyond the final rank.
Each Rank is subdivided into classes, from fifth class to first class. Players must earn five stars within a class to advance to the next. This progression occurs passively as you participate in various activities.
Though the class and star system is universal, the names of these Ranks may differ based on your characters origin, reflecting the cultural background of that origin. For instance, while the first Rank might be called Novice Pilot in one origin, in Navu and Goscro Krah, it is known as Claw Initiate, but both advance at the same pace.

The Base Ranks

In-character, the origin of Diana was the first to propose tracking Ranks with titles instead of just numbers, making career progression easier to understand. Their proposal became the baseline for all origins, and these base Ranks are as follows (with the corresponding level ranges for older players shown):
Graduate: 0 - 1
1. Novice: 2 - 250
2. Rookie: 250 - 500
3. Scout: 500 - 750
4. Challenger: 750 - 1000
5. Ranger: 1000 - 1250
6. Junior Journeyman: 1250 - 1500
7. Senior Journeyman: 1500 - 1750
8. Pioneer: 1750 - 2000
9. Tenured: 2000 - 2250
10. Elite: 2250 - 2500
11. Ace: 2500 - 2750
12. Champion: 2750 - 3000
13. Master: 3000 - 3250
14. Veteran: 3250 - 3500
