general help: moving in a combat grid
As part of the combat system for ground attacks, we have grids on the game.These grids will affect anything in a room if combat is taking place.
The grids are 5 by 5.
To move in the grid, you will need to use your standard directions of north, east, ETC.
If you wish to leave a room that has a combat grid in it, you will need to go to the correct coordinates.
Listed below are exits and their corresponding coordinates. If the exit is not in the list, you need to be in the center of the room to use it.
The center is 3, 3.
North: 3, 5.
Northeast: 5, 5
East: 5, 3
southeast: 5, 1
south: 3, 1
southwest: 1, 1
west: 1, 3
northwest: 1, 5
To see what coordinates you are at, type look.
If you are in a vehicle, type peer out to see where you are in the grid.
If you want to view a monster's position, look at it. In vehicles, type view
You can also type enemies to see what is in the room with you.
Finally, to see your own position quickly, type m-c. Note the dash.
