general help: job roles

A job role is a defined thing in the game which your character does.
Just as out of game, you might be a mechanic and yet own a plane, your character could be a lawyer that owns a starship.
A lot of what a job role is and can be is in roleplay, but there are one or two functions that the game provides for use in acting out your role.
1. First, the declaration. Job roles are declared by typing @jobrole. Once approved your job role shows up in the business central area labeled directory.
2. The roleplay item. Once your job role is approved, you are able to get a free rp item to go with it.
This can be a room, container, or a custom item which you request.
To request your roleplay item, type rp-item.
Note: Custom items are less likely to be accepted over the ones provided to pick from.
3. A potential name badge: This little badge can be warn and while warn, adds a prefix to your name when speaking on public channels and while in the room with people. You must have had your job role for at least two months and have reasonable evidence of roleplaying your role out. To get one, do the following:
A. Go to business central and find the office directory.
B. Type MENU and find your job role. Your name will be in the list. If you are eligible for a badge, you will be presented with a yes or no prompt.
C. Answer yes to the prompt and fill out the input field.
Guidelines for choosing a job role:
1. Popular job roles are more likely to get approved because you then become part of a group that can enhance roleplay waves within the game.
2. Roles relating to the military, or military ranks, will get denied.
3. Roles relating to organisations. EG Attorney, doctor ETC will get denied.
4. Roles relating to concepts not in the game may get denied.
5. Offensive job roles will get denied.
If your character is in an organisation, please choose a job role that your character could specialize in for example, instead of being a medic, write a secondary job such as artist or instead of attorney, write historian.
If you find that your rp develops in a way that doesn't fit your job role, i.e you submitted a role to be a fire inspecter, but decided your character fits into the game better as a wildlife protection agent, you can put in a support ticket, and if your rp backs you up, the hosts will assist you in changing jobs.
