general help: industrial plants
What is an industrial plant?Industrial plants are player-run stations.
they are powered by debris and/or water.
When the water or debris in them runs dry, the station will explode.
Advantages:
1. Allows you to deploy a station in deep space, making it a quick jump to point.
2. cuts down on exploration time into deep space.
3. Allows access to several higher activities
4. Allows access to higher blueprints.
Disadvantages:
1. needs constant care.
How to get an industrial plant:
You will need:
A ship with a docking bay
1. Head over to Estrana.
2. In the cave system is an unmappable room. In this room you can buy the industrial plant frame. you will know the room when you find it.
3. Type buy in the above room.
Your industrial plant is now in your ships docking bay!
What to do with an industrial plant once you have it.
I fully recommend you get the exploration licence before continuing.
Once you have bought your industrial plant, you'll want to head out of locals into deep space.
Do this by reading help deep space.
Next, you will want to get a nice distance out. How far is entirely up to you, but you will need to be 50 universal coordinates (sectors) or more away from an object.
When you are at your desired distance, head into your docking bay and type deploy
This will cause the frame to launch, and expand.
You first start with a cargo bay, control room, and landing pad for your industrial plant.
You can add more rooms by building room expansions for industrial plants, which are blueprints constructable in a factory. 500 metal panels are required to build the room extensions.
At some point, you will want to install a transfer module, buildable by blueprints, in order to be able to get cash and points for activities such as dark matter mining.
Below is a list of all commands for industrial plants:
landing pad:
transfer: Allows you to transfer debris from a ship onto an industrial plant for powering
Control rooms:
charge: allows you to see how much debris and water are stored and how long it will keep the plant alive for
eta: Allows you to see how long a transfer will take.
transfer: allows you to transfer goods, such as salinarum, dark matter and Cosmium strips for cash and points
cargo bays:
cargo: allows you to view the contents of the bay
convert-metal: compresses the metal panels under intense gravity, ionizing the result, with a laser, then freezing the ionized particles. The device turns the bits that properly turn into Cosmium into strips, discarding the rest of the metal as junk.
crush: allows you to crush bricks into salinarum.
production rooms:
construct: construct an item[blueprint]
Water facility:
Transfer, transfer liquid to add charge to the plant.
You can also type @room-o in any room to reconfigure the layout of your plant.
