general help: harassment

What is harassment?
Harassment is when player 1 continually does something to player2 that makes him or her feel uncomfortable, annoyed, or just plain out frightened.
Any of the following can be considered harassment:
1. Continuous ooc link requests.
2. Attempting to get around an ignore.
3. Continuous mailing after you were told to stop.
4. Not leaving someone alone after being told to.
5. Using the game to express frustrations or issues with a person on the game who is not yourself, of which the issues are not on the game.
Harassment can come in several forms, both sexual and otherwise.
I am being harassed, what should I do?
Here are the steps to take if you think you are being harassed:
1. Ignore the person. This is done by typing ignore. You can argue this is just a bandade issue, but it has been effective many times.
2. Enter a support ticket about the offender. You do this by typing support. Please include as much information with this as you can.
3. Mail the hosts. Similar to support tickets, this will send a mail to the hosts. You will need an info computer for this, and then you type mail.
4. Report the offender. This is a more urgent approach, and is guaranteed to be seen rather quickly. You can do this by typing report.
5. Speak to a host directly. In an absolutely worse case scenario you can contact a host directly by typing assist and outline your immediate issue you are having.
Recommended:
You can also talk to an HTPL about the issue you are having. HTPL's are honor bound to bring your issue to the hosts immediately and keep your information completely confidential.
I feel I am being harassed by a host, what should I do?
Cases such as these should be mailed to our email address, nathan-tech@hotmail.com.
You can guarantee that these cases are taken very seriously. Furthermore, you should include as much detail as possible with your email.
If a host is found to be harassing, his or her position on the team will be terminated, with immediate effect.
