general help: fires

From time to time, when walking around the mud or fighting in combat, you may see that there is a fire in a room.
There are two types of fire.
1. Those you get when you light firewood.
2. The fires we talk about in this file.
How can you tell the difference?
You can look at the fires in this help file, where as you can't look at the fires you make with firewood.
The fires in this file are actual, physical fires.
there are 30 stages to these fires, each one a bit hotter and a bit more risky.
When there is a fire in the room it will appear like any other object.
You can look at it to see what it was caused by.
These fires not only send out cool little emotes while in the room, but they also, if above stage 3, fill the room with smoke.
Be careful! Fires above stage 20 will hurt if you are in the room!
To put out one of these fires, you will need an extinguisher, or rather, a few extinguishers.
These fires are made to be a group effort to put out.
Simply type extinguish to spray one with an extinguisher.
you will know the job is done because it will splutter and go out.
Eventually, fires of this nature will go out on their own but it may take a long time!
If there is more than one fire in a room, there is a chance that the two will combine to make an even bigger fire!
Please note, Ship fires are an entirely different thing. See shelp fires for that.
