general help: family names

To enhance your roleplay, Cosmic Rage places significance on family names.
Traditionally, your last name is your family name, so if your name was Benjamin Jackson, for example, then your family name would be Jackson.
In Cosmic Rage, due to the different races, we have decided to make family names some what important to certain races.
For humans, family names are their last names.
For cy-larkans, the family name is the last name without the numbers.
For the above two races, family names are only as significant as you want them to be.
Dragons:
For dragons, your family name is that of the highest pride. You should be proud of your family the most and your top goal in life is for the family name to be respected.
In dragon tradition, as it is a female run society, when a dragon male and female marry, the males family name is lost to be replaced by the female's.
Mutariansi:
For Mutariansi, the family name is the last name of one of the 12 original elders of the Mutariansi race.
These 12 elders were the first counsel of Mutariansi and for an individual, whose family name they have indicates who they descend from.
Ryuchi;
Ryuchi are half dragon, half human. In that aspect, they often tie in a bit of both from both of the races. In the instance of a family name, Ryuchi's are still proud. Their family name is of great import to them, however, it is not something that will earn them special treatment in society, unlike the dragons.
Family names have to be set by Rank 50.
The game will prevent you from Ranking past Rank 50 if you have not set a family name.
For humans, this is done automaticly, for the other races, you must type family-name.
Cy-larkans have no prompts.
Mutariansi have to choose an elder.
Dragons and Ryuchi must make their own and submit it for approval.
Approval takes only a short amount of time.
You can see your family name by typing charinfo.

Ryuchi family names are often war related in some way, in a nod to their ancestors and their fighting prowess such as strongtooth, swordclaw, sharpstone.
Dragon names on the other hand are broader, with some of the more well known names relating to Navu or Dragons themselves, names like fireheart, silverwing or longtail.
Ryuchi and dragons never have human sounding names, such as Smith, Jones or williams.
