general help: Introduction

Welcome to Cosmic Rage!
The year is 2498 and things are different indeed. Humans have not only taken steps into space, they have taken huge leaps and bounds into the void, spreading their influence across many Galaxies and Systems. From the first commercial flight by Ritchard Branson in 2020 to the many commercial and military flights of modern day society, things have really developed. Type help timeline for a list of the major galactic events.
Here in Cosmic Rage, we have six playable races. humans (help human), dragons (help dragon), Ryuchi (help ryuchi), Mutariansi (help mutariansi), Cy-larkan (help cy-larkan), and pauagiwa (help pauagiwa).
The humans, two-legged beings that originated from the planet Earth, have no set culture and vary from planet to planet, as well as person to person. As a human character, you will start out on the planet Salura.
The dragons, discovered in 2220, are winged reptilian creatures with varying personalities, a rich history, and are known to have been the first race that was friendly toward humans. As a dragon character, you will start out on the planet Navu.
The Ryuchi, formed in 2250 as a result of a pairing of human and dragon, are wingless, humanoid creatures with reptilian features and a very militarized culture. As a Ryuchi character, you will start out on the planet Goscro Krah.
The mutariansi are telepathic shapeshifters who joined the alliance in 2491. As a mutariansi, you will start on the planet Mulrala.
The Cy-larkan, discovered in 2400, are a purely robotic race. Due to their origin, they are intensely loyal to humans and have varying personalities as a result, though they often feel lonely and unsure of themselves due to not knowing their background. As a Cy-larkan character, you will start out on the space station Calira Dura**9*1.
Pauagiwa are a race who until recently nothing was known of. They were known as a name, and a political nightmare, but that is all. That was until July 1st, 2492 when the most powerful families on Maraquda all grouped together and created a scheme called the Pauagiwa Freedom Movement. As a pauagiwa, you will start out at the plannet Maraquda.

Before you delve too deeply into your character, please review the policies of the game and make sure you understand what is listed there. Type policy to review the policies.
Please read the help files on each of the races (help human, help dragon, help ryuchi, help mutariansi, help cy-larkan), and (help pauagiwa) paying particular attention to the race you have chosen or are about to choose during character creation. This will ensure that you are aware of how to play your chosen race, as well as inform you of the various abilities and skills of each.
Once you have chosen (or if you have already chosen) your race, please read help getting started for information on what equipment you need to buy when first entering your race's core planet or space station.
Take a look at help communicating. This will help you understand many of the different ways you are able to communicate with others on the game.
Please review and refer often to help common commands. There is a lot of information here that will help you figure out and interact with the environment around you.
Refer to ahelp list often, particularly if you need to know the Rank requirement of an activity. For more information on the activity you'd like to try, read its associated help file, e.g., ahelp hand mining.
Have a look at help merchant. This will give you some information on how you can get around without a ship. You will not receive your first ship until later on in the game, so you may find this useful.
Lastly, if you would like to see all the information available to you, type the word help on its own, then choose from the list that appears.
If you get stuck or have any questions, don't hesitate to ask over the newbie channel. There is a lot of information to take in, and nobody expects you to take it in all at once! With that said, we would like to wish you a great time here at Cosmic Rage. Enjoy your stay!
