general help: Death

Death is a normal occurrence here on Cosmic Rage. It is not permanent, however. Here is what to expect.
1. You get moved to the death area.
2. You must wait a little while before returning. While you wait, you will experience what is called a death scene. This is simply a sequence of messages that give you something to read while you wait. The wait time varies between 3 and 5 minutes or so, and you will not be able to communicate with anyone at this time.
3. Coming back from death is explained in character as cloning. Once you begin the return process, you will be walked through a cloning sequence which includes choosing a scar for your character if you so wish and paying for your new body.
Once you finish the revival sequence, you will be charged for your new clone. The fee goes up the more ranks you have, so if you don't have enough money to pay for your clone, you may go into debt.
4. Your Rank and skills will revert back to when you last saved your clone. This means that if you saved when you were Rank 15 with only a few skills trained, but you died at Rank 30 with more skills trained, you will end up reverting back to Rank 15 and lose the skills you trained up to Rank 30. As a result, it's a good idea to type save when you train skills or gain Ranks.
5. After dying, you experience a temporary knock to your skills which is represented in character as Death Trauma.

When your mind is in trauma, you are unable to train any skills nor are you able to save.
While in trauma, your skills are also capped, by how much depends on how much you died.
For example, if you died once, and then didn't die again during the trauma period, your skills are knocked down temporarily by ten percent.
If you die again during the trauma period, they are knocked down by 20 percent.
The maximum to which they can fall is 100 percent.
After the trauma period is over, your skills are fully restored.
The Trauma period extends by half an hour for every death you have during the trauma period like so:
1 death=30 minutes.
2 deaths=an hour.
3 deaths=an hour and 30 minutes.
Trauma is an afliction, and will show in the hs command.
PLEASE NOTE: Scars can be removed and trauma cured by chatting in character with a GMC member.
Please be aware the having a member of the GMC cure death trauma is an encouragement or incentive to role-playing. These requests could be treated like a doctor's visit in character, where you may be asked to meet up with a medic, describe how you feel, have your temperature taken, etc. If you are not the type to role-play, then waiting out the trauma is probably the way to go for you.

Commands:
hs: Use this to see your health status
save: Use this whenever you think is useful, ideally as a precaution before doing some dangerous activity, after training skills, or after raising your Rank.
return: Use this after you have finished a death scene to begin the cloning process.
Clone: Use this command at a factory or planetside medical center to see where your clone data is stored.
