You should be very proud upon receiving the gift of a new hatchling. Your ancestors are probably smiling upon you now.
Outlined here is a simple guide for how to take care of one.

Hatchling shivers

The Bain of most new parents' existence are the dreaded hatchling shivers. These are a left-over trait inherited from their dragon heritage. These result in the young hatchling shivering sometimes violently.
Consequences for this can be fatal if not treated properly.
Luckily the treatment is fairly simple.
If you are one who cannot breathe fire there is a method just for you.
First, purchase a brazier and a heating stone.
Second, fill the brazier with wood.
Third Place the heating stone into the lit brazier
Finally, massage the warmed stone all over the hatchling's body
This serves as a way to warm the hatchling and also bond.
This method can be made playful and fun for parents and hatchling.

Dry skin

Sometimes a hatchling's skin under their scales can grow dry and rather itchy for the hatchling.
Luckily a simple hatchling oil can be purchased to remedy this issue.
Simply massage the oil into your hatchling's skin.

Waist management

Unlike dragons ryuchi hatchlings have inherited the human way of disposing of waist. This results in the purchase of diapers and wipes. They will have to be potty trained when older.

Fill: While using a brazier fills it with wood
"Heat: Heats up a heating stone in a brazier
Massage: With both oils and heating stones massages item over the hatchling's body
