Guidelines for Baby Adoption through the JAG

The adopter is required to have the following:
A letter stating the intent to adopt and identify who is to be adopted. The letter must also include the original parent, or parents,
a valid reason for wanting the adoption,
a reference letter,
a psychological evaluation by the GMC, along with any fees associated with the evaluation.
A medical evaluation of the baby being adopted,
an inspection of the place of residence by the GMC to ensure there is a place for the adoptee,
a clean criminal record verified by the military,
a cash reserve of at least 2 quadrillion to ensure the adopter can provide for the adoptee,
a rank of 750, or higher. One month after the adoption has taken place.
A home inspection will also be conducted to ensure the baby has acclimated to the new home.
The pilot relinquishing custody of the baby
A letter stating all guardianship and legal custody to be surrendered. The letter must contain the pilot's name, the recipient's name and the child's name,
a valid reason must be provided as to why custody is being given up,
Why the person selected was chosen.

Guidelines for Pet Adoptions through the JAG

The person adopting a pet must meet the following criteria
They are rank 300 or higher,
They have a cash reserve of 500 trillion credits,
They have a sufficiently sized home which can accommodate the pet.
Criteria for the pet owner
They must provide a valid reason as to why they wish for the pet to be adopted,
Provide their name, rank and pet name.
Provide reasons as to why they chose the person who was selected to adopt the pet.
Please note that only the primary parent of the baby or pet can initiate the baby or pet adoption. Any attempt at circumvent the above regulations will result in the case being closed by the JAG.

OOC adoption information

Once a pet or baby is adopted in this way, the object's ownership is codedly transfered to the new owner, allowing the player to retrieve them should they die which is why it is important that adoptions are carried out through official sorces. Any babies or pets that die and are unretrievable do to an incorrectly handled adoption will not be rescued by the hosts as that baby and or pet were not yours to begin with. Both the adopter and adoptee relinquish any claim to a refund when an adoption occurs, and should the object be recycled through an accident or bug such as someone holding it when they reset, only the object's official owner may request it to be retrieved from a backup.
