Ground combat for dragons

For a dragon to inniciate combat they are either fighting to protect others, to rid the worlds of a dishonourable being or because their own honour has been challenged.
As such, their fighting styles often go a long way to reflect this.
Dragons are an extremely sturdy race, able to suffer under heavier damage than most and with an extremely high tolerance to heat and fire based attacks.
If you're in over your head and you need something to duck behind, there's nothing better than a dragon to have on your side.
Because of their preference of defense, the abilities that a dragon has are geared largely towards keeping the attention of the enemy and appearing to be the most intimidating being for miles around.
As such they have three abilities that grab attention:
  1. Plume: while it may take a while for you to recover from this one, there's nothing out there more intimidating than seeing a dragon show their ultimate power and might through this fire ability that will let any enemies nearby know you have arrived and you are the target!

    1. lowgrowl: Let your enemy know who is boss with this attention grabbing low growl.

      1. Snarl: when all else fails, just snarl at your target. those big teeth of yours and those wickedly sharp claws are bound to get any Vacus looking your way and fast.

      2. Offensively, dragons rely heavily on their claws and teeth to give them the edge, their wings occasionally coming into play but only for short periods of time.
Most of a dragons offensive abilities are passive and will happen on their own.
The one offensive active ability a dragon has is their fire breath.
you access the fire breath command by typing breathe and then the style you want and how much time you wish to put into the build up.
The higher time you enter, the more damage your breath is likely to do, however, the more time it will take you to build up the power required and the more likely you are to have your stance interupted.
        the styles are:
Beam, times 14 to -24: Spit a narrow, highly focused beam of fire straight at your enemy. It's quite easy to dodge, but if they get hit, they'll know about it!
Ball, times 10 to 20: If it hits, they'll feel it hard, but even if it misses, a fireball landing near your foot is definitely something an enemy will notice as it burns their boot off.
Wide, times 20 to 30: This is an area of affect attack that sends a wide river of flame over your enemies. Be careful though, as it could hit your friends, too!
An example for this command is breathe ball 20. This would mean your character would take 20 seconds to build up the flames of a fireball, then launch it at your enemy.
Dragons are also able, in their caves, to make specialist pieces of armour that will boost both their own attacks and those of others.
In addition, dragons can also sharpen their claws either in their caves or using a diamond from hand mining.
Because of the nature of how they are more used to using claws and teeth, dragons will suffer a penalty while wielding weapons as it is not in their nature.
Dragons, like all of the races, can do combo attacks. For more information, see help ground combat, combos.
