Ground Combat for Ryuchi
Ryuchi are the most war like race that have yet to be encountered in the Cosmic Rage universe.
their culture and society is built around the honour of the fight, the thrill of the victory and the ability to protect yourself and your family from any threat.
From an early age Ryuchi children begin to train in the basics of four disciplines just the forms and stances to begin with.
This helps train the mind and prepare the body for future combat.
As a Ryuchi reaches their teen years they choose a form that they will then specialise in, gaining in that art for the rest of their lives.
It is true that on some occasions, Ryuchi have chosen to switch combat forms, finding that life events tips their disposition in a new direction, however for most Ryuchi the success comes in the new heights one obtains as a master of their form.
Each form of the Ryuchi is dedicated to one of the elemental gods and the fighting styles they take on reflects this:
- Aquatia, the water form: Subscribers of this form are never still, always moving in one direction or another, in combat their body open to the tides of energy that run through the universe able to sweep through enemies or smash into them like a breaking wave.
- Incendralis the fire god. Feeling the primordial fury and destructive power of fire, these Ryuchi will fling themselves headlong into battle with a single goal in mind. With the concentrated blazing power of an out of control blaze these warriors will burn through anything they encounter and leave nothing of their enemies but ash to float away on the breeze. The only form to include training with the Ryuchi blades they take their offensive capabilities to a whole other level.
- Aeolira, the air goddess. So light on their feet they barely seem to be affected by that inconvenient fact called gravity, these Ryuchi are fast to strike and faster to strike twice, they will strike like lightning before vanishing seemingly on the wind leaving their enemies defenseless in time for the killing blow.
- Verdantus, the earth god. Made of stone and as immoveable as a mountain, these masters of defensive combat will bring any raging attack to a complete stop through sheer force of presents. Once an Earth Ryuchi master plants his boots on the ground, he'll not be moved from that spot until his enemies are sand and dust.

Each form has several combat abilities that they can engage an enemy with from the get go.
the more the Ryuchi practices their form both in the temples and in combat, the more deadly they will become. A Ryuchi will generally only become a master in one form over the course of his or her life, attempts to master more than one form often means that the abilities in the first begin to be forgotten over time.
Beyond their forms, Ryuchi also are able to use their phasing ability to dodge incoming attacks.
When a Ryuchi is in combat, they are able to access their abilities by typing cForm followed by an element and a number. the combat forms being performed by a Ryuchi will put fatigue on different parts of the Ryuchi's body, which is why they will want to switch it up, rather than always using their first form of the element.
In mechanical terms, this means you will want to vary things up, rather than typing cform earth 1 repeatedly, you may want to do cform earth 2, then cform earth 1 several times before reverting to the second form.
When a Ryuchi's mastery of a certain element has reached the rank of adept, they will then be able to open themselves up to become a berserker.
To go berserk is to drop one's mind fully into their combat form's element. This may manifest itself in different ways depending on the element, for instance, Earth form warriors will find their defenses greatly boosted at the cost of offensive capability, while those of the water form will find themselves moving faster but less aware of damage being done to them.
To start this, you type berserk.
Finally, Ryuchi are able to rally people to them in order to boost flagging morale. the best Ryuchi is one who is part of a squad and as such they can boost the stats of their allies by letting out a battlecry from time to time.
It is possible to change what your Ryuchi shouts as his or her rallying cry through rp points.
To see how far you are along in your training of your form, go to a temple and type status.
To train while in a temple, if it is possible, type train.
Ryuchi also have the ability to let out what is called a sonic scream. the sonic scream is unique to this race, an outcome of their ancestry but it can be used to draw attention to ones self during combat to protect a friend, while also disorientating anyone in the area for a short time.
Finally, Ryuchi are the only race who are able to combo with other races. For more information on flanking, please see help ground combat, combo.
Commands:
Battlecry: Let out a rallying cry to boost your allies.
Sonic-scream or ss: Let out a scream that disorientates your enemies.
Cform
combo
Protect: Step in front of another ally.
berserk: Enter your combat form's purest expression. Requires you to be adept at the combat form.
train: In a temple in Montu, train the relevant combat form ffor the temple you are in.
