gadgets help: Televisions TvS

The Television, invented on Earth in 1925, was a marvelous invention which can provide entertainment and information across the airways. Today, they serve a wider range of audiences taking advantage of 25th century communication technology and serve up content in a wide variety of formats.
In Cosmic Rage, our televisions are a great way to help your character immerse into the rp world. They provide content that can be both entertaining, useful and annoying! Just like real televisions.
Our TV's go a step further by highlighting you, the player, in ways unlike any other MOO. While watching the televisions, you might notice an advertisement showcasing a custom built ship, or even see another's profile featured on the Lifestyles channel. These are just 2 of the ways they bring your character into the Universe of CR. There are a lot more and new features are added all the time. So, while role-playing a kick-ass pilot in space, you might also find yourself a television celebrity!
Your character automatically participates in television content by default, but if you do not wish to have stuff like your profile or pet or other information specific to your char shown on the TV's, you may opt out of this by typing @televisions and selecting the appropriate option from the menu.
note: this does not include any in-character news about your character.
TV's also offer other features such as Video On-demand and can even be used to view live coverage of certain events.
Televisions are available in shops across the game, so check out the shopping network on your informational computer to find one.
To watch a television, simply drop it in a room and turn it on.
Command:
turn , turn the TV on or off.
Look , Look at the screen.
channel , change the channel.
filter , toggle whether you see emergency alerts, regardless of what channel the TV is on. An example of emergency alerts include volcano eruptions and invasion alerts.

Using Video On-demand: to Use this feature, channel the television to the Video On-demand channel. You will see a list of available videos. Select one from the list and enjoy. to stop video playback, you can change the channel or turn the television off.
NOTE: Video on-demand content is made up from videos submitted via video computers. For more on these nifty items, check out ghelp Video Cameras And Computers.
If you own a factory, you also have the option to advertise your factory's unique qualities via a commercial. Please see fhelp factory television commercials for more details.
This is just a small breakdown of what our televisions can do. There are more features, but you will have to discover those on your own.
