Armour Making

Back story

Since the dawn of time, it is assumed, or at least since man learned how to pick up a club and bash his next door neighbor over the head with it, making Armor has been a necessary and sometimes even honorable craft.
making your own armor is an activity in which the more effort you put in, the more result you will get out. Like everything else on Cosmic Rage, we aim to make the armor crafting process as customizable as possible from start to finish.
To craft armor, there will be a few stages you'll need to go through from crafting armor frames to getting race imprints to describing the piece.

Crafting the armor frames

First things first, you will want to head over to Eexei Othairis. This is where you will do most of the work for this step.
Northwest of the landing pad is the forge.
In this room you can type list, to list available armor moulds.
Type list then a number to see the required resources for this piece. Armor generally requires 4 types of resource:
  1. Iron: See Chelp Mining on Eexei Othairus

    1. Malexanite: See Chelp Mining on Eexei Othairus.

      1. wood: You obtain this by chopping down trees in the forests, not hunting areas, with an axe. You must store the wood in a toolbox which you can buy on Harmonia.

        1. Animal pelts. You obtain these by hunting animals. See ahelp hunting.

        2. Once you have all of the required materials for your desired piece, go back to the forge room and type forge followed by the number of the piece you wish to make.

          -Applying to your frame
A frame is not armor but rather an outline that just holds the information of where the armor will be worn on your body and nothing else. It is up to you to add qualities to it so that it can actually take hits so you don't have to. Before anything else, type start to turn it into a flimsy piece of paper into light armor.
From then on, you can type apply to add different attributes. An armor frame can take up to six applications, and you can apply to a single frame up to three times maximum before you have to pass it off to someone else. When you type the command, you will be given a choice on what type of application you will do.
          1. Durability: (takes 125 tritanium and 125 copper) This is pure damage absorption. The more durability you add to your frame, the heavier the armor will get. You will be told when you've progressed to the next level, but a general rule of thumb is that it takes two applications of durability to increase to the next weight class. All armor will be light armor by default after you type start , because doing so automatically makes your character apply durability to the frame at least once.

            1. Damage resistance: (Takes different resources according to the race doing the applying) There are several damage types in the game, and each player race has the ability to add one of the six most common damage types. When you apply to the frame, you can opt instead to add your race's resistance to the frame, leaving the durability where it's at. Like with durability, you can apply up to three times to stack the damage resistance. See the damage resistance section of the help file for more details.

              1. Special attribute: Dragons, Mutariansi, and Pauagiwa can add three separate attributes in special circumstances.

                • Dragons: While in the cave of Holarian, the 17th queen, a dragon can increase a piece of armor's attention grabbing qualities by applying some of their loose scales along with some special bioluminescent moss that only grows in that cave under specific conditions. This is excellent for tanks who want to keep enemy mob attention. The more armor they are wearing with the attention grabbing attribute, the easier it will be for them to keep enemy mobs attacking only them.

                  • Pauagiwa: Near to the lake in Berezovsky City, there is a peaceful hollow where only pauagiwa may walk. While in the hollow, a pauagiwa can reduce attention on a piece of armor. Note that this attribute is mutually exclusive with the dragon's attribute since the moss and the method the pauagiwa use can never coexist on the same piece. Also, from a mechanics standpoint, the two stats would cancel each other out. While wearing armor with attention reducing qualities, a person can use flashy abilities with less of a worry that the enemy mobs will turn to smack them around.

                    • Mutariansi: If a mutariansi applies to armor in the grove of the elders on Mulrala, they will be given the option to add a bit of living bioplasma to the armor which allows it to require less resources when repairing it.

                    • Without exception, all applied attributes--from durability to resistance's to attention, stealth, or repair efficiency--are stackable and can be performed until all six application slots have been filled. Just because you've applied three times to your armor doesn't mean another player of the same race as your character couldn't take up the baton and run with it all the way home.
Note: There are wandering smithies on Salura, Navu, Goscro Krah, Mulrala and Calira Dura*91 who can help you with your armor, however, they are extremely expensive and can only add resistance's to your armor, not durability.
Further Note: While you are free to apply to your armor multiple times, each subsequent time increases the difficculty of actually applying, so naturally, those more skilled in armor will have a better chance to successfully apply to a piece more than once.

                      Damage resistance's

Below is a quick rundown of the damage resistance each race can add to a piece of armor.
                      1. Humans: piercing

                        1. Larkans: Laser

                          1. Ryuchi: Blades

                            1. Dragons: Explosive

                              1. Pauagiwa: Blunt

                                1. Mutariansi: Crushing

                                2. Finishing your frame

When you have all of the applications and attributes you want, simply type finish , and you will be prompted to name and describe your armor piece. This is not necessary, however, since if you respond with no, you can just stick with the default description as it was shown when you looked at its recipe card back at the forge on Eexei Othairus.
Note: Crafting armor in pieces will yield more overall protection than pieces that include multiple slots, but it is up to you if you want to put in all that effort!

                                  Extra Information

To see how many resources you have, type resources.
                                  Commands:
List: In the forge, allows you to see all the recipe card. You can type list to see the ingredients.
forge : forges a frame if you have the resources.
start : Starts your new frame and applies the first durability print.
apply : Apply a print to your frame.
Finish : Finalize your frame and turn it into armor.

                                  Rank: any
                                  Skills: Armor
