On cosmic rage, we endeavor to foster a positive experience for everyone who graces our moo with their presence with the end goal of providing quality entertainment and fun. To that end, we have devised a code of conduct players must adhere to when playing here.
1. Respect. According to Merriam Webster, respect is to recognize the worth of a person or thing. On cosmic rage, respect is acknowledging without criticism of another player’s line of rp, differing background and English proficiency. Please do not at any point belittle anyone if they struggle with English, have a line of rp you do not agree with or act in a manner that you personally do not approve of. Quite simply, treat others the way you want to be treated.
Being polite is always a good thing and can even help someone’s day become better than it was before. A little ounce of politeness will go a long way in helping to form a brand-new friendship! In addition to this and out of respect for the moo, we ask that you refrain from using us as a platform to advertise or excessively bash another game. Not only is this disrespectful but it is in poor taste.
A big part of respecting someone is treating them equally. Equality: Every player is equal on this game. Regardless of their class, ethnicity, cultural differences, religious views, political views, emotional sensitivity or origins. Everyone is equal from the moment they log in, until the moment they leave.
2. Please report rule breakers whether they be violation abusers or anything else after obtaining proof. By reporting someone else, you are making a serious accusation and one that you the reporter must be able to substantiate by providing logs. Failure to do so will only seek to reflect poorly on yourself and may add a level of doubt for subsequent reports you submit on another player by ruining credibility.
3. We would ask that you try to be respectful to newbies. If a newbie asks for help on ooc rather than on the newbie channel, calmly answer their question without demanding they ask it on newbie. This level of hostility can discourage new players from playing the moo and this is not what we want! In addition to this it is required by this policy to extend to new players a higher level of patients for mistakes and or blunders they may make.
In that regard, it is asked you do not attack, harass, demean or otherwise make said newbies life harder than it needs to be. Similarly however, as a newbie you must be aware that genuine steps to attack or demean someone does allow them to respond in kind to the extent that the in character laws and out of character policies allow.
4. The hosts are people like anyone else. We only ask that you speak to us respectfully at all times. We understand changes may be made that you adamantly disagree with, so please feel free to type feedback and convey your dissatisfaction there rather than taking it out on a host.
In addition to this, if a host or another player has asked you to stop doing something, we kindly ask that you stop. This may be asked if you are spamming a channel, being blatantly inappropriate, acting in a manner that is triggering to some people or any other way that is causing discomfort or difficulty as seen by three or more members of staff on at the current time.
